Time Off
Wow been away from work for a week and the site has suffered, no post,but a lot has happened, lets see, first was the list of honey dooooooo's, that has seemed to grow, it now includes all interior doors to be changed along with the bathroom remodels. I have managed to finish one bathroom, less fixtures and hung 4 doors out of 11. She seems to pleased so far, so I achieved my goal, brownie points before my fishing trip.
The bug has been through a couple of transitions, one planned and the other unexpected needed repairs due to my fasination with showing off the power and trying to smoke the tires through an intersection, oop's wheel hop will do you in. Barely made it home after that one and of course it happens at the end of the week off so I am rushing to find the problem and solution. This happened Thursday afternoon, right before we were leaving to go skiing. So as I rode the lifts to the top of the slopes on Friday, I sat there and pondered what damage I did, of course thinking the worse, (motor Pull to repair) I was close, only ended up being the front tranmission mount, split in two. I was able to pry it out but getting a new one in was going to be a battle, well it turned out if I put in a hard mount it would slip right in so I chose that route and probably will change back on my next motor pull. Boy it's noisy now, but works and only took a couple of hours. left me time to finish the bathroom before we went to dinner with friends. My planned repair was just to fix and intake leak and install my welded fan.
Got my boat ready for my trip to Santa Margarita in 10 days, sharpened my hooks cleaned up my reels and poles, packed all my supplies except food so one shopping trip and I should be ready to go. No the bugs not making the trip, I am taking Pat's new car : ) . Hooked the boat up today and eveything looks great and all the lights work.
My oldest was in town so we did the bowling thing, wow am I out of pratice, barely broke 100, we had fun in fact went back the next day to try again.
I know more things happened than I have written about, but with this short term memory thing going on, I can't remember the rest, Oh yeah Easter, we did find all the eggs this year, just one took and extra day to find.
Soot getting late and I have to go back to work in the morning, so will try to post some pics in a couple of days, I'm sure you all want to see the boat : )
