Road Trip
I hit the road last Friday to pick up Kristen from college. She was coming home for a weekend visit. Since the motor/ clutch had very few miles on it, I wanted to only take back roads, so as you follow the pics, you can see that I was able to avoid all highways. My trip took over 3 hours and never reached above the 55MPH speed limit. No traffic, great weather, it was perfect.Funny story just after I crossed over the Antioch Bridge....., as I slowed for traffic as they were doing road repair, only allowing one direction to go through at a time, I noticed a car who going the opposite direction made a quick u-turn behind me. I thought, that's wierd, why would this person wanna go through the road construction twice????Well it turns out it was my Brother John, The race car driver, he recognized my car. We were out in the middle of nowhere, how random is that. He asked where I was going, told him to pick up his special Pit Team Member in Sacramento for his Saturday night races. He didn't figure it out until we showed up to his races : )Enjoy the photos, and for those who don't know, my trip took me through Livermore, over the Altamont Pass, through Brentwood, Oakley, accross the Antioch Bridge then followed route 160 all the way through the Calif. Delta to Sacramento. Recommend the drive for all, quite relaxing.
